The sea saved our ancestors. Let's return the favor with a collaborative environmental cleanup.
We heard your requests for more than one international cleanup a year.
Introducing: Bedikat Ha-Mayim - the new Jewish ritual to fulfill the mitzvot of Bal Tashchit before Passover.
Bedikat Chametz is a night before Passover tradition of finding any remaining chametz (leavened products such as bread) in the home, and eradicating them. The search is carried out with a candle, feather, wooden spoon, and a paper bag. Customarily, ten pieces of bread are placed throughout the house to be “found” during the search.
We invite you on a "search for schmutz," a local waterfront cleanup, as part a new Passover tradition.
Incorporating Bedikat Ha-Mayim into Jewish life allows individuals to connect their spiritual and ethical values with environmental stewardship, while being a part of a global movement. Join us to foster a deeper sense of interconnectedness with the natural world, the global community, and promote positive change.
